“The active ingredient of the drug inosine pranobex suppresses the reproduction of herpes viruses pathogenic for humans in vitro. Groprinosin Forte is used for decreased immunity, for recurring infections of the upper respiratory tract, as well as for people who have been diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus when it appears on the lips or skin. The medicine is intended for people over 1 year of age.
The active ingredient of the drug is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3).
1 tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobex.
Excipients: potato starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate.
Dosage

The drug is taken orally with a sufficient amount of liquid. The recommended dosage of Groprinosin forte for children over 1 year of age and adults is 50 mg of the drug per kg of patient’s body weight. Adults are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.
Treatment usually lasts 5 to 14 days, and the drug should be continued for a day or two after symptoms have resolved.
