Indications for use
It is used as an adjuvant in conditions of convalescence after toxic-metabolic liver damage caused, in particular, by toxic factors (for example: alcohol, plant protection products), as well as in dyspepsia (flatulence, belching) after eating indigestible food.
Dosage and method of administration
Adults and children over 12 years of age, 3 times a day, 1 tablet after meals, unless the doctor prescribes otherwise. The drug requires systematic use, from 2-4 weeks to a 6-month course of treatment. The duration of use of the drug should be consulted with a doctor. After consulting a doctor or in case of more serious poisoning, you can increase the dose to 5 tablets per day. The minimum daily dose of silymarin is 200 mg, and the maximum is 400 mg.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or to plants of the Compositae/Asteraceae family. There are no studies on the use of silymarin in children, so it is not recommended to use the drug in children under 12 years of age.”
