Areas of application
The preparation is a medicinal product, a local anesthetic, and is used to numb a part of the body.
It temporarily numbs the surface of the skin and thus relieves pain when a needle is inserted into a vein (venipuncture or cannula) for medical purposes, such as drawing blood for laboratory tests. It is used in adults, adolescents and children at least one month old.
It can also be used to numb the skin before painful superficial procedures on large areas of intact skin, this use is for adults only.
Dosage
The recommended dose for pain relief when inserting a needle into a vein is:
1 g of cream corresponds to a 5 g tube. squeezed cream about 5 cm long or with a 30 g tube 3.5 cm long.
Adults, including elderly patients, and children over 1 year:
1 g to 2.5 g of cream to cover an area of skin measuring 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm at the site of needle insertion. Do not leave on the skin for more than 5 hours.
Infants from 3 months to 1 year:

Infants over 1 month but under 3 months:

Do not use on children under 1 month.
Recommended dose for anesthesia before painful superficial procedures on large intact skin areas:

Adults over 18 years and elderly patients:
Use 1.5 to 2 g per 10 cm of skin area 2 . The maximum coverage area is 300 cm 2 (200 cm 2 corresponds to the face, 300 cm 2 corresponds to the arm). The recommended dose should not be exceeded.
After removal, the cream must not be reapplied for at least 12 hours.
Not for patients under 18 years. years.
Contraindications
The preparation must not be used:
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to lidocaine or any of the other ingredients.
