The active substance is nicotine. 1 transdermal patch contains 35 mg nicotine (average release of the active substance on the skin 14 mg/24 hours). Other ingredients: acrylate/vinyl acetate/methacrylate copolymer; medium chain triglycerides; basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Ph. Eur.); paper.
Application area
Nicofrenone is used to relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms and to support smoking cessation in people suffering from nicotine addiction.
Use
Use only once a day: just one patch a day, and you will have peace of mind all day long. The 24-hour effect also helps to avoid any sleep disturbances.
Individual dosage: Thanks to 3 different active concentrations (7 mg/24 hours, 14 mg/24 hours, 21 mg/24 hours), less and less nicotine is gradually added, which gently weans the body off nicotine and significantly reduces physical withdrawal symptoms.
Combination therapy is possible: In case of an acute or uncontrollable need to smoke, Nicofrenone can be combined with other nicotine-containing preparations (e.g. nicotine chewing gum). The maximum daily dose of 64 mg in total should not be exceeded.
Reduce desire: Apply the Nicofrenone patch daily after waking up to prevent the typical morning craving for a cigarette. The patch can also be left on the skin when you gently shower.
Duration of use.
Weaning occurs gradually (see dosage chart).
The total duration of use can be up to 3 months.
Storage:
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packet and carton after “”Use by””. The expiry date refers to the last day of the stated month.
