Applications
The drug is used to treat tobacco addiction by relieving withdrawal symptoms. Thus, the drug helps to quit smoking. Even smokers who are currently unable to quit smoking immediately can initially use chewing gum to reduce their cigarette consumption (cut-down) and quit smoking.
The medication is intended for smokers who smoked up to 20 cigarettes a day before treatment.
Dosage
Adults and the elderly
1 piece per hour, maximum 16 pieces per day, approximately 8 to 12 pieces for smokers who are not heavily addicted to tobacco (no more than 20 cigarettes per day).
For heavy smokers (more than 20 cigarettes per day), there is chewing gum with 4 mg of nicotine. Ask your pharmacist about this.
Children and young people
Nicotine chewing gum should not be used by children under 12 years of age.
Use nicotine gum in young people (12 to 18 years) only on the advice of a doctor, as experience with the use of nicotine gum in people under 18 is limited.
Duration of use:
Smoking cessation with immediate cessation
