“Compound
The active ingredients of the drug are: paracetamol, phenylephrine, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
1 sachet contains 300 mg of paracetamol, 5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 20 mg of vitamin C.
Excipients: sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sucrose, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, lemon flavor 610399 E, curcumin (E100).
Dosage
Use in children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 sachet every 4 hours up to 4 times a day.
The medicine should not be used more often than every 4 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
Before serving, the powder should be dissolved in hot water: pour the contents of one sachet into a glass, fill half with hot water, mix well and drink. Add cold water or sweeten if necessary.
Action
Coldrex Junior S is a multidirectional combination drug that is used to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu.
Paracetamol has an antipyretic and analgesic effect. Phenylephrine relieves nasal congestion, reduces swelling and makes breathing easier. Vitamin C, on the contrary, replenishes its deficiency, which can appear at the initial stage of infection.
Indications
Coldrex Junior S is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of influenza or colds with fever, chills, headache, sore throat, rhinitis (runny nose) in children aged 6-12 years.
Contraindications
When should you not use Coldrex Junior S?
if you are allergic to the active substances or any other ingredients of the drug,
if you suffer from severe liver or kidney failure,
if you are taking zidovudine (used to treat HIV infection),
while taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and for 2 weeks after stopping their use.
Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age.”
