Spasfon suppository is indicated in the treatment of spasmodic pain of the intestine, biliary tract, bladder and uterus. It is an antispasmodic that acts against spasms (contractions).
It is a medicine reserved for adults. It comes in the form of suppositories. Its active substance is phloroglucinol hydrate (150 mg per suppository).
Dosage of Spasfon suppository
The recommended dosage for stomach aches is to take 1 suppository 3 times a day, with an interval of at least 2 hours. Do not take more than 3 suppositories in 24 hours. The dosage is not suitable for children.

Precautions for use of Spasfon suppositories
Spasfon suppositories are contraindicated in case of allergy to any of their components.
If after using a Spasfon suppository you experience itching, spots and/or redness of the skin, swelling of the neck and face, sudden malaise or a red scaly rash and fever, stop using the medicine and contact a doctor immediately.
The administration of this medicine should only be considered during pregnancy if necessary and is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding. You are advised to seek medical advice before taking any medicine.
Read the package leaflet before administration or ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Do not double the dose if you forget to take one.
