Areas of application
The drug is a medicinal product for the oral treatment of fluid deficiency (dehydration) by compensating for salt and water losses. The drug contains salts (electrolytes) and glucose.
The drug is used
for oral administration of salt (electrolyte) and fluid (compensation of salt and water losses) in case of diarrhea.
Notes:
Any diarrhea may be a sign of a serious illness. In case of a longer period and/or deterioration of general health, you should immediately consult a doctor.
Especially in infants and small children, diarrhea may occur, especially with simultaneous insatiable vomiting. quickly lead to severe symptoms (decreased consciousness, shock). Therefore, when treating diarrhea in infants and young children, you should always consult a doctor.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Infants and young children
from 3 to 5 years. (if necessary. also more) sachets within 24 hours.
Children
1 sachet after each bowel movement.
Adults
1 to 2 sachets after each bowel movement.
These information are only recommendations. In individual cases, both a higher and a lower dosage may be required. If you are unsure, ask your doctor.
At the beginning of treatment, higher doses can be used to quickly and completely compensate for fluid loss.

The dosage recommendations are based on fluid intake of 150 ml per kg of body weight for infants and toddlers and 20 to 40 ml per kg of body weight for older children and adults.
Duration of use
The duration of use of the drug in infants and young children is determined by the attending physician. It usually lasts from 6 to 12 hours and should not exceed 24 hours.

in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients of the drug
in case of acute and chronic renal dysfunction (acute and chronic renal failure)
in case of insatiable vomiting
in case of clouding of consciousness or shock in case of severe dehydration

in case of impaired absorption of carbohydrates (sugar absorption) from the intestine (malabsorption of monosaccharides).
Treatment with the drug is not indicated if the absorption of the swallowed liquid stops it from entering the blood of the gastrointestinal tract, which is impossible or only partially possible (for example, in case of acute intestinal obstruction ss).”
