“Compound:
Furazidin 50 mg
Excipients: corn starch – 27.5 mg, sucrose – 13.75 mg.
Indications
– treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis) caused by microorganisms sensitive to furazidine;
— prevention of infectious complications after surgical interventions on the genitourinary system.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
The drug is taken orally after meals.
For treatment, use 100-200 mg 2-3 times a day for 7-10 days. If necessary, after a 10-15 day break, treatment courses are repeated. The maximum daily dose is 600 mg.
To prevent infectious complications after surgical interventions on the genitourinary system, a single dose of 50 mg is used 30 minutes before surgery.
Contraindications
– renal dysfunction;
– urosepsis and kidney parenchyma infections;
– liver dysfunction;
– pregnancy;
– period of breastfeeding;
– children and adolescents up to 18 years of age;
– deficiency of lactase, sucrase/isomaltase, lactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption;
– hypersensitivity to furazidine and other components of the drug;
– increased sensitivity to nitrofuran derivatives.
The drug should be prescribed with caution in case of anemia, lung diseases (especially in patients over 65 years of age), diseases of the nervous system, diabetes mellitus, porphyria, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, B vitamins and folic acid.”
