Excipients:
citric acid 1-water sodium citrate 2-water 70% sorbitol solution, non-crystallizing 450.0 mg Sorbitol purified water sodium benzoate
Applications
The drug is a laxative.
The drug is used for constipation and diseases that require relief of bowel movements.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual single dose for adults is:
10-18 drops (equivalent to 5-10 mg sodium picosulfate).
For children from 4 years of age, as prescribed by the doctor, the single dose is 5-9 drops (equivalent to 2.5-5 mg sodium picosulfate).
Pay attention to the time that passes before the onset of action, and do not try to induce bowel movement by pressing hard.
The medicine should not be used continuously, daily without prior medical examination or for a long period of time.
Contraindications
The medicine should not be taken if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to sodium picosulfate, related active ingredients from the triarylmethane group or one of the other ingredients of the drug;
in case of intestinal stenosis with intestinal obstruction, intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal complaints such as appendicitis, severe abdominal pain combined with nausea and vomiting;
in case of acute inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
with significant lack of fluid in the body;
with rare congenital fructose – intolerance.
Constipation combined with other symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting and fever may be signs of a serious illness (intestinal obstruction, acute inflammation in the abdomen). If such complaints occur, you should not take the drug or any other medications and should immediately consult a doctor.
