Scaldex ointment is a medicine that is a combination of a substance of natural origin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic and vitamin A.
How does Scaldex ointment work?
Thanks to the active ingredients contained in propolis extract, calendula tincture, and bacitracin, this ointment has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties . It has a disinfectant effect, contributing to the faster cleansing of wounds from metabolic waste products and necrotic elements. Vitamin A accelerates the regeneration of damaged tissue. The homogeneous ointment, ranging in color from yellow-beige to dark brown, has a characteristic propolis scent.
Scaldex is an ointment for use on small areas of skin to treat:
first and second degree thermal burns,
light frostbite of the first and second degree,
shallow wounds that are difficult to heal,
Stage I and II pressure ulcers,
suppuration of minor wounds.
It is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. It may be used in children under 12 years of age only under medical supervision.
