“Description
Aviorexan is a medicinal product containing two active substances: dimenhydramine and caffeine. The medicine is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age to prevent and treat the symptoms of motion sickness.
Composition
The active substances of the drug are dimenhydramine and caffeine.
Each coated tablet contains 50 mg of dimenhydramine (Dimenhydrinatum) and 50 mg of caffeine (Coffeinum).
The other ingredients are: Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone Type A, povidone K 29/32, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate. Tablet coating: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 6000, talc.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Oral administration. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water or milk.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
The recommended dose is 1-2 tablets.
If necessary, the dose can be repeated after 4-6 hours. Do not exceed the dose of 8 tablets per day.
Indications
The drug is indicated for the prevention and treatment of symptoms associated with motion sickness (nausea, vomiting, dizziness).
Contraindications
When not to take Aviorexan:
– if you are allergic to dimenhydramine, caffeine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
– if you suffer from:
– porphyria,
– acute asthma attack,
– severe cardiovascular disorders,
– uncontrolled hypertension,
– insomnia and anxiety,
– epilepsy,
– stomach and/or duodenal ulcers,
– severe liver problems
– narrow angle glaucoma,
– pheochromocytoma of the adrenal glands.”
