Indications
Noctis Noc is used in adults: for short-term symptomatic treatment of sporadic insomnia, especially in cases of difficulty falling asleep, frequent night or early morning awakenings.
Action
Makes it easier to fall asleep, calms you down.
Dosage
Adults (over 18 years): 1 tablet (12.5 mg) 30 minutes before bedtime. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 2 tablets (25 mg) taken 30 minutes before bedtime if the initial dose does not provide sufficient relief of insomnia symptoms.
Elderly (over 65 years of age): The recommended starting dose is 1 tablet (12.5 mg) taken 30 minutes before bedtime. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 2 tablets (25 mg) taken 30 minutes before bedtime if the initial dose does not provide sufficient relief of insomnia symptoms. If side effects occur, the dose should be reduced to 12.5 mg (1 tablet) per day.
To avoid feeling drowsy the next day, make sure you have enough sleep (8 hours) before taking Noctis Nok.
Do not take more than 2 tablets per day. If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor immediately. Your doctor will decide whether and what measures to take.
Patients with persistent sleep problems should consult their doctor.
The medicine is intended for oral use. The tablets should be taken 30 minutes before bedtime with an appropriate amount of liquid (preferably water). Noctis Nok can be taken with or without food. The drug should not be used to treat chronic sleep disorders. The treatment period should be as short as possible. Treatment usually lasts from several days to 1 week. The medicine should not be used for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
You are allergic to doxylamine hydrosuccinate or any other ingredient of this medicine.
Allergy to other antihistamines (antiallergic drugs).
Respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis (a persistent cough that produces thick saliva (phlegm and mucus)) or emphysema (inflammation of the air sacs in the lungs, causing difficulty breathing).
Glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye).
Enlarged prostate (abnormal enlargement of the prostate), bladder neck obstruction (urinary tract disease), or difficulty urinating.
Scarring peptic ulcer (damage to the lining of the stomach or the beginning of the intestine) or pyloroduodenal stenosis (difficulty in moving food from the stomach to the intestine).
Severe kidney or liver disease.
Concomitant use of certain medications, such as antidepressants (fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine), antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin, telithromycin), antiviral drugs (indinavir, ritonavir, telaprevir), antifungal drugs (fluconazole, ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole), antiarrhythmic drugs (amiodarone ), terbinafine, quinidine, nefazodone, bupropion, gemfibrozil.
Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (medicines for depression and Parkinson’s disease) and for up to 2 weeks after stopping their use.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Storage
Noctis Nok should be stored out of the reach of children, at a temperature below 30°C.”
