“Compound
Active ingredient: Lactobacillus rhamnosus 573.
1 capsule contains 10-10 (including at least 10-8 CFU *) Lactobacillus rhamnosus rods.
Excipients: skimmed milk powder, sucrose, monosodium L-glutamate, potato starch, magnesium stearate and capsule ingredients: gelatin, titanium dioxide.
*CFU (colony-forming unit) is the unit that forms a colony.
Dosage
The usual dose is 1–2 capsules per day (one in the morning and one in the evening) for 1 week.
If necessary, treatment can be repeated after consultation with a doctor.
The capsule should be inserted deep into the vagina, observing personal hygiene.
Action
The L. rhamnosus 573 bacilli contained in the preparation maintain an appropriate pH level in the vagina through their metabolism. This is unfavorable for pathogens. The presence of bacilli in the vagina reduces the likelihood of developing a bacterial infection.
Indications
Lactovaginal is used in women and girls over 16 years of age to restore normal bacterial flora in the vagina.
Lactovaginal is recommended for use:
prophylactically,
for inflammation of the reproductive organs, after treatment with antibacterial, antitrichomoniacal or antifungal drugs,
when vaginal discharge appears.
Contraindications
Do not use if the patient is allergic to any of the ingredients of the drug.”
