Azelaic acid destroys bacteria that cause acne, reduces the number of microcomedones and inhibits excessive keratinization of the epidermis. In addition, it inhibits the growth and hyperactivity of skin pigment cells (melanocytes).
The cutaneous form of discoloration is resistant to treatment with this drug. The epidermal type of discoloration and the mixed epidermal-dermal type are easily treated.
Dosage:
The cream is used twice a day (morning and evening). Apply a 4 cm long strip of cream (1g of cream) at a time, gently rubbing the cream into the affected areas of the skin. You can use a maximum of 2g of cream per day.
In the case of acne treatment, improvement should be visible after 4 weeks, and in the case of discoloration treatment – after about 3 months. The medicine should not be used for longer than 6 months.
