Betadine 10% gel is an antiseptic.
This medication is indicated in cases of superficial and small wounds or burns, but also in the adjunctive treatment of certain diseases of the skin (and mucous membranes), primarily bacterial or susceptible to secondary infection.
Its active substance is povidone-iodine, dosed at 10 g per 100 g of gel.
The other components of its formula are macrogol 400, macrogol 4000, macrogol 6000 and purified water.
Dosage of Betadine gel
The gel can be administered as a simple local application, or as a dressing.
