“Compound
Active ingredient: sildenafil.
Each film-coated tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil (as sildenafil citrate).
Other Ingredients:
Tablet core: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, croscarmellose sodium. Shell: hypromellose 6 mPa s, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 6000, talc, indigo carmine (E132), sealant.
Action
The drug helps relax the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. Actigra Forte helps to achieve an erection only after sexual stimulation.
Dosage
If you have previously used medications containing sildenafil in a dose of 50 mg or more, the recommended dose is 50 mg – Actigra Forte. Otherwise, Actigra Forte 50 mg should be used only if the patient does not feel the desired effect after taking sildenafil 25 mg (i.e., he does not have an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse).
Take 1 tablet approximately one hour before planned sexual intercourse. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Actigra Forte should not be taken more than once a day.
Contraindications
Actigra Forte should not be used:
If you are allergic to sildenafil or any other ingredient of this medicine.
If you take nitrates, as taking them together can cause dangerously low blood pressure. Please tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines from this group. These medications are often used to relieve symptoms of angina (“”chest pain””). If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take medications that release nitric oxide (such as amyl nitrite, also known as poppers), taking them together can also cause a dangerous drop in your blood pressure.
If you are taking riociguat. This is a medication used to treat pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e., high pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots). PDE5 inhibitors such as Actigra and Actigra Forte have been shown to enhance the blood pressure-lowering effects of this drug. If you are taking riociguat or are unsure, tell your doctor.
If you have severe heart or liver disease.
If you have recently had a stroke or heart attack or have low blood pressure.
If you suffer from inherited retinal degenerative changes such as retinal degeneration
retinitis pigmentosa.
If you have ever had vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION),
