The simethicone contained in the product effectively lowers the surface tension of the walls of gas bubbles in the intestines, facilitates their fusion and rupture. This improves the excretion of gases and reduces the tension in the intestines, which is the cause of pain. Orally administered simethicone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is completely excreted unchanged in the faeces.
INDICATIONS:
The medical device is intended for use in infants from 28 days of age and children up to 12 years of age in order to relieve symptoms such as colic, flatulence, feeling of fullness, belching, indigestion related to the accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract.
Helpfully in the preparation of infants and children under 12 years of age for diagnostic tests of the abdominal cavity, such as radiological and ultrasound examinations as well as gastric and duodenal endoscopy.
DOSAGE:
Before use, shake the bottle until a uniform liquid is obtained.
The bottle is equipped with a dropper, with which the recommended number of drops should be counted, which can be given to the child’s mouth with the spoon included in the package or put on the pacifier before giving it to the child. The measured amount of liquid can be mixed with a small amount of boiled, cooled water, used conditioner (milk) or other non-carbonated liquid.
Infants and children under 2 years of age – 3 drops (20 mg simethicone) before, during or after each meal. Do not use more than 18 drops per day (120 mg simethicone).
Children aged 2 to 12 years – 6 drops (40 mg simethicone) before, during or after each meal. Do not use more than 36 drops per day (240 mg simethicone).
The amount administered may be modified as directed by the physician. COMPOSITION:
Simethicone, sodium benzoate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium saccharin, xanthan gum, raspberry flavor, purified water.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
In case of previously diagnosed hypersensitivity to simethicone or any of the components of the device.
In case of known or suspected perforation or obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract.
In newborns (i.e. up to 28 days of age).
WARNINGS:
Do not drink carbonated beverages while using the product.
There are no known drug interactions in the target age group.
Always consult your doctor if your child has persistent and unexplained abdominal discomfort.
The medical device does not contain sugar and can be used by people with diabetes.
