A shrubby vine with grey bark. It comes from the Andes in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

– young condurango bark contains, among others, biologically active substances and tannins
– used as a stimulant of saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice and bile
– improves digestion and improves the absorption of nutrients
– used as an antiemetic
– regulates bowel movements
– prevents intestinal atony
