Cyteal is a foaming medicated solution containing hexamidine and chlorhexidine. It is a low-activity antiseptic solution , indicated for cleaning skin and mucous membrane conditions , infected or at risk of infection.
Composition for 100 ml of solution:
Hexamidine diisethionate …………………………………..0.10g,
Chlorhexidine gluconate (20% m/v solution) … 0.50ml,
Chlorocresol …………………………………………………………….0.30g,
The other ingredients are : alkanamido (C12-C18), propyl betaine (amonyl 380 BA), di (hydroxyethylalkanamide) (comperlanKD), edetic acid, coniferol perfume, lactic acid, purified water.
Excipients with known effect: Edetic acid EDTA.
