“Composition
Active substance: 1 g of drops contains 980 mg of dimethicone (1 drop contains 20 mg of dimethicone).
Dosage
Usual dose: adults 2 drops 4 times a day after meals and at bedtime; if necessary, 5 drops 3 times a day.
Preparation for X-ray or ultrasound examination Two days before the examination, 2 drops 4 times a day; on the day of the examination, 5 drops on an empty stomach.
Small children and infants from 1 month of age: for abdominal distension, 1 to 2 drops 2 times a day.
Action
The product contains dimethicone. The mechanism of action of dimeticone is to reduce the surface tension of gas bubbles, which causes the bubbles to break into smaller ones, and consequently it is easier to remove gas from the digestive tract. It reduces the surface tension of the gas, allowing the released gas to be resorbed and expelled by peristalsis.
