Dosage:
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose is:
For mild nervous tension, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over should take 1 film-coated tablet once a day, and if necessary, 1 film-coated tablet up to 3 times a day.
For the treatment of sleep disorders, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over should take 1 film-coated tablet half an hour to an hour before bedtime. If necessary, an additional film-coated tablet can be taken earlier in the evening.
The indicated dosages correspond to 2.25-6.75 g of valerian root per day. The highest daily dose is 4 separate doses, which corresponds to 4 film-coated tablets.
It is not intended for use in children under 12 years.
Duration of use:
Due to the gradual onset of effect, valerian root is not suitable for acute treatment of mild nervous tension and sleep disorders. For optimal treatment success, it is recommended to use it continuously for 2-4 weeks.
Contraindications:
The medicine should not be taken if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to valerian or any of the other ingredients.”
