“Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Dosage
For oral administration. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10-20 ml (1 to 2 sachets) after meals and in the evening before bed, up to four times a day. Children under 12 years of age: Should be prescribed only on the recommendation of a physician. Elderly: There is no need to change doses for this age group.
Warnings
Each 10 ml dose (1 sachet) has a sodium content of 127.25 mg (5.53 mmol). This should be taken into account in cases where a particularly low-salt diet is recommended, for example in some cases of congestive heart failure and impaired renal function. Each 10 ml dose (1 sachet) contains 130 mg (3.25 mmol) calcium. You should pay attention in the treatment of patients with hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosi and recurrent kidney stones containing calcium. If symptoms do not improve after seven days, the clinical picture should be re-evaluated. Contains hydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl paraidrossibenzoato (E216), which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). Long-term use should be avoided. Just as with other products, medications, anticido, Gaviscon Heartburn and Indigestion Oral Suspension, the mint flavor in sachets may mask the symptoms of other pre-existing, more serious diseases. Gaviscon Heartburn and Indigestion oral suspension mint flavor sachets should not be used in the following cases: – patients with severe renal impairment/renal failure – patients with hypophosphataemia There is a possibility of reduced effectiveness in patients with very low levels of gastric acidity. There is an increased risk of ipernatremia in children with gastroenteritis or suspected renal failure. Treatment in children under 12 years of age is generally not recommended except by prescription.”
