The active ingredients are sodium alginate (Natrii alginas), sodium bicarbonate (Natrii hydrogenocarbonas) and calcium carbonate ( Calcii carbonas).
1 tablet contains 250 mg of sodium alginate, ??133.5 mg of sodium bicarbonate and 80 mg of calcium carbonate.
Other ingredients: mannitol (E421), macrogol 20,000, copovidone, aspartame (E951), peppermint flavor, magnesium stearate and acesulfame potassium.
dosage
Always use this product exactly in accordance with the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose of Gaviscon for adults and children over 12 years of age is 2 to 4 tablets if symptoms occur after meals and at bedtime.
- Do not exceed 16 tablets per day.
- If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment, please contact your doctor.

Gaviscon TAB with mint flavor forms a protective layer on the surface of stubborn stomach contents. This layer prevents the backflow of acid from the stomach, reducing pain and discomfort in the throat and mouth. Heartburn can occur after eating (mainly fatty and spicy foods) or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms of inflammation of the esophagus wall (eg difficulty swallowing and/or swallowing, pain in the mouth, vomiting).
Indication
Gaviscon Mint TAB is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux such as:
- belching
- Heartburn,
- Indigestion
After eating or during pregnancy and in patients with symptoms related to reflux esophagitis.
Contraindication
Gaviscon TAB should not be taken if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Gaviscon Peppermint TAB can have side effects, although not everybody gets them .
Very rarely (less than 1 in 10,000 people) allergic reactions to any of the ingredients of this product may occur. You may have symptoms such as:
- Rash, itching
- Difficulty breathing
- Dizziness
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
Warnings and precautions
- The drug contains sodium and calcium.
- The lake contains a source of phenylalanine. May be harmful to patients with phenylketonuria.
- Store at a temperature of up to 25°C.
- Keep out of the reach of small children.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking or have recently taken, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Do not use this medication within two hours of taking other medications by mouth, as this may make some medications less effective

This medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The drug should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
