Ibufen Junior belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
What Ibufen Junior is used for
The drug is intended for use in children and adults in the following cases:
- Mild to moderate pain of various origins:
− headaches (including migraines);
− toothache;
− muscle, joint and bone pain;
− pain after injuries;
– nervousness;
− pains associated with colds and flu;
− dysmenorrhea;
− ear pain occurring in inflammation of the middle ear.
- Febrile conditions of various origins (including in the course of influenza, colds or other infectious diseases).
What you need to know before using Ibufen Junior
When not to use Ibufen Junior:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you have had allergic symptoms in the past such as runny nose (rhinitis), angioedema, hives, bronchospasm or bronchial asthma after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal painkillers (NSAIDs);
- if you have an active or a history of gastric and/or duodenal ulcers, or recurrent gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of confirmed ulceration or bleeding);
- if you have had upper gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation after taking NSAIDs;
- if you have severe liver, kidney or heart failure;
- not given to children weighing less than 20 kg;
- if you have cerebrovascular bleeding or other active bleeding;
- if you have unexplained blood disorders such as thrombocytopenia;
- if you have a bleeding disorder;
- during the last three months of pregnancy
