The active substance of the drug is: ibuprofen ( Ibuprofenum ).
1 soft capsule contains 100 mg of ibuprofen.
Excipients: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water; capsule shell: gelatin, non-crystallising liquid sorbitol (E 420), liquid maltitol (E 965), purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The drug is administered orally. The soft capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and not chewed, sucked or crushed.
- Ibufen mini Junior is intended for children from 4 to 12 years old weighing 16 to 40 kilograms.
- The minimum interval between doses is 6 hours.
- The drug is used during or after meals.
- If you need to use this medicine for more than 3 days or your symptoms get worse, talk to your doctor.
Action
Ibufen mini Junior belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug has an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
The drug is intended for use in the treatment of fever and pain of various origins of mild to moderate intensity:
- headaches (including migraines);
- toothache;
- muscle, joint and bone pain;
- pain after injuries;
- neuralgia;
- aches and pains associated with colds and flu;
- earaches associated with inflammation of the middle ear.
- feverish conditions of various origins (including influenza, colds or other infectious diseases).
Taking the drug with food and drink
The drug should be taken with or after meals, with plenty of fluids.
Do not drink alcohol while taking the drug because of the possible aggravation of side effects on the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy:
The use of this medicine should be avoided in the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. During the last three months of pregnancy, you must not take the drug as it could increase the risk of complications for the mother and the child in the perinatal period.
Breast-feeding:
The drug is excreted in breast milk, however, it can be used during breast-feeding if it is administered in the recommended doses and for the shortest possible time.
Influence on fertility
The drug belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that may impair female fertility. This effect is transient and disappears after the end of therapy.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use in children under 4 years of age or weighing less than 16 kilograms.
