“The drug solution can be used by children, adolescents and adults. The drug is used for: superficial disinfection of the skin before minor procedures (injections, punctures, etc.), preparation of the surgical field, treatment of difficult teething, treatment after removal of tonsils. Without consulting a doctor, the solution is used for: hand disinfection, treatment of minor skin lesions (cracks), treatment of herpes, treatment of inflammation of the oral mucosa, wiping after insect bites. Ethanol content 96% (v/v).
Pharmaceutical form
Transparent liquid from yellow-brown to dark red-brown color with the smell of ethanol and iodine.
Drug substance and its quantity
povidone iodinate; 100 g of solution contains 3.85 g of povidone iodinate.
How to use
A solution diluted with water in a ratio of up to 1:20 is used to prepare poultices, for rinsing or gargling (for example, for inflammation of the oral mucosa). The drug should always be freshly diluted and used immediately.
The undiluted solution is applied directly to the treated area (for example, using a cotton swab) and is used to treat minor skin lesions, treat insect bites, and disinfect hands and the surgical site.
The iodizole solution is usually applied to the treated area one to three times daily. The full effect of the product begins within 1 minute after its use.
Duration of treatment: Wound care should continue until all signs of infection (such as redness, swelling, tenderness or soreness of the wound, pus in the wound) or the risk of infection of the wound edges have disappeared.”
