“Composition
The active substance is oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
1 ml of solution contains 0.25 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. 1 dose of aerosol with a volume of 45 microliters contains 11.25 micrograms of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
The other ingredients of the drug are: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, glycerol 85%, purified water. Nasivin soft 0.025% does not contain preservatives.
Dosage
Nasivin Kids 0.025% can only be used in children aged 1 to 6 years.
Apply one spray into each nostril 2 to 3 times a day. Without a doctor’s recommendation, Nasivin Kids O.O25% should not be used more than 3 times a day and no longer than 3 – 5 days. It may take up to 20 minutes from administration of the drug to the effect.
Action
Administration of Nasivin for children (Nasivin soft) 0.025% reduces the swelling of the inflamed mucosa and inhibits excessive secretion, which facilitates free breathing through the nose. Reducing nasal congestion also opens and dilates the efferent ducts of the paranasal sinuses and unblocks the eustachian tubes. This makes it easier to remove secretions and cure the bacterial infection.
Contraindications
Do not use Nasivin if you suffer from dry rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal mucosa with crusting); if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to oxymetazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Nasivin Kids 0.025%.
