“SmectaGo is a medical product in the form of a ready-to-use oral suspension intended for the treatment of:
acute diarrhea in adults and children over 8 years of age (children with acute diarrhea require simultaneous administration of oral rehydration fluid);
chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain in adults.
How SmectaGo works
The main ingredient in SmectaGo is diosmectite, a natural clay that helps stop and treat diarrhea and relieve stomach pain. Diosmectite has been shown to quickly:
binds toxic substances and microorganisms (bacteria and viruses) and promotes their removal from the body;
protects the digestive tract, strengthens its mucous membrane and supports the regeneration of damage.
SmectaGo – composition
One sachet contains 3 g of diosmectite. Additional ingredients: cocoa caramel flavor*, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate, hydrochloric acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, purified water.
*Ingredients of cocoa-caramel flavor: a mixture of natural and synthetic flavors, caramel coloring E150d, caramelized sugar syrup, propylene glycol E1520, water, ethanol, caffeine.
How to use SmectaGo
The product should be taken orally; The contents can be taken directly from the bag. The bag should be slightly kneaded before opening. Once opened, each sachet should be for single use only.
Recommended dosage:
Acute diarrhea in children (from 8 to 15 years): Initial dose – 2 sachets, then 1 sachet after each loose stool, maximum 4 sachets per day. Oral rehydration solution should be used to replace fluid loss due to diarrhea and prevent dehydration.
Acute diarrhea in adults and children over 15 years of age: initial dose – 2 sachets, then 1 sachet after each loose stool, maximum 6 sachets per day. SmectaGo can be used for up to 3 days. If diarrhea lasts more than 3 days, you should consult a doctor.
Chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain: Adults (only) up to 3 sachets daily. Without consulting a doctor, treatment should not last longer than 2 weeks. Long-term or repeated use of SmectaGo is not recommended.
When should you not use SmectaGo?
The product should not be used:
if you are allergic to diosmectite or any other ingredients of this product;
in children under 8 years of age with acute diarrhea;
in children with chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain.
Warnings
This is a medical device. Use it according to the directions for use or label.
The most common side effects during treatment are constipation. If constipation occurs, stop using the product. If necessary, it can be resumed at lower daily doses. Other less common side effects include rash, hives, pruritus (itching), and angioedema (swelling of the skin, lips, throat, and tongue).
Do not use the product after the expiration date stated on the packaging.
