“Description
Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children and in the form of a nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol.
Xylometazoline hydrochloride quickly constricts the vessels of the nasal mucosa and reduces its swelling.
Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid that accelerates wound healing and protects the nasal mucosa.
Indications
Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children is indicated:
to reduce swelling of the mucous membrane during rhinitis and in the treatment of damage to the nasal mucosa,
in alleviating the symptoms of non-allergic mucositis (vasomotor rhinitis),
in the treatment of nasal congestion after nasal surgery.
Sudafed Xylospray DEX for Children is indicated for use in children aged 2 to 6 years.
Active ingredient: dexpanthenol, xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Compound
Active substances
The active ingredients of the drug are xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol.
Each ml of solution contains 0.5 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride and 50 mg of dexopanthenol. One dose of nasal spray (0.1 ml of solution) contains 0.05 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg of dexopanthenol.

Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose of Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children is one spray into each nostril up to three times daily as needed unless your doctor advises you otherwise.
Do not use longer than 7 days. Repeated use is possible only after a break of several days.
If there is no improvement after 3 days or the child feels worse, consult a doctor.

Contraindications
When you should not use Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children:
if your child is allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or dexopanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
if your child has dry crusting rhinitis (sicca),
in children after surgery to remove the pituitary gland or other operations that expose the meninges (the lining of the brain).
Sudafed Xylospray DEX for Children should not be used in children under 2 years of age.”
