“Compound:
1 ampoule of 2 ml contains: cyanocobalamin (cyanocomplex of vitamin B12) 3000 mcg (3 mg)
Excipients: ammonium sulfate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid solution, water for injection.
Areas of use:
Vitamin B12 deficiency, which cannot be compensated through nutrition.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can manifest itself in the following clinical pictures: Hyperchromic macrocytic megaloblastic anemia (perniciosis, Biermer’s anemia, Addison’s anemia). Funicular disease of the spine.
Vitamin B12 deficiency, confirmed by laboratory diagnostics, can occur in the event of many years of malnutrition (for example, due to a strict vegetarian diet); Malabsorption due to insufficient production of intrinsic factor, diseases of the terminal ileum, such as mucus, tapeworm infection or blind loop syndrome; congenital disorders of vitamin B12 transport.
Dosage: Unless otherwise indicated, administer at the start of treatment in the first few weeks after diagnosis.
1 ml of “Vitamin B12 forte-Hevert injection” (equivalent to 1500 mcg of cyanocobalamin). If there is a proven malabsorption of vitamin B12 in the intestine, 100 mcg of cyanocobalamin is prescribed once a month.
“”Vitamin B12 forte-Hevert injection”” is usually administered intramuscularly. However, it can also be given slowly intravenously.
Contraindications:
vitamin B12 intolerance.
Pregnancy and lactation: The recommended daily dose of vitamin B12 during pregnancy and lactation is 4 mcg. According to previous experience, higher doses do not have any adverse effects on the unborn child. Vitamin B12 is excreted in breast milk.
Side effects: In some cases observed
skin symptoms (acne, as well as eczematous and urticarial drug reactions) and hypersensitivity symptoms (anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions).”
