“The drug Xylogel 0.05% in gel form contains xylometazoline hydrochloride. Additionally, the drug, since it is in the form of a gel, moisturizes the nasal mucosa and does not drip to the bottom of the nasal cavity and into the throat. Xylogel 0.05% is intended for use in children aged 3 to 12 years.
Indications
Auxiliary treatment:
acute rhinitis of viral or bacterial origin;
acute or chronic rhinosinusitis with worsening condition;
allergic rhinitis;
acute otitis media – to unblock the Eustachian tube.
Active ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Compound
1 g of nasal gel contains:
0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride (Xylometazolini hydrochloridum)
Excipient: benzalkonium chloride solution.
Dosage
Intranasal administration.
Xylogel 0.05% is intended for use in children aged 3 to 12 years.
1 dose contains 0.05 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride.
Children from 3 to 12 years: 1 dose of gel in each nostril every 8-10 hours.
Xylogel 0.05% should not be used for longer than 3–5 days.
For hygienic reasons, the drug packaging should only be used by one patient.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the product.
Do not use in patients following pituitary gland removal or other surgical procedures involving exposure of the dura mater.
Atrophic rhinitis.”
