The active ingredient is povidone-iodine (Povidonum iodinatum) with 10% free iodine.
100 g of ointment contains 10 g of povidone-iodine.
Excipients: macrogol 400, macrogol 4000, purified water, sodium bicarbonate.
The brown color of the ointment is a characteristic feature of the drug and proves its effectiveness due to the presence of available iodine.
Dosage
The medicine is injected onto the skin, covering the entire affected area.
The duration of use of the drug depends on the clinical condition of the patient.
The ointment can remain on the skin for a long time. The dressing should be changed when the ointment turns brown.
Dosage: apply the ointment to the surface of the skin requiring treatment several times a day – in the initial phase of treatment, to maintain an optimal bactericidal effect, the ointment should be applied every 4-6 hours to an infected or weeping wound.

Branovidon has a disinfectant effect.
Indications
Braunovidon is used:
skin burns from flames or hot liquids,
for infected ulcers, bedsores,
infected superficial skin lesions that do not tend to heal with inflammation or deeper ulcerations,
purulent skin lesions (pyoderma),
bacterial or fungal skin diseases,
relatively secondary infections previously treated with the same agent.
Contraindications
When you should not use Braunovidon:
if you are allergic to povidone iodine or any other part of the drug,
for diseases of the thyroid gland,
with dermatitis herpetiformis syndrome,
if you are planning or have recently completed radioiodine therapy (before the end of therapy),
in newborns and infants up to 6 months.”
