1 g of gel contains:
Active ingredient: sodium naproxen (Naproxenum natricum) – 12 mg.
Excipients: carbomer 5984, sodium hydroxide 30%, levomenthol, chloral hydrate, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
Dosage
Medicine for local use on the skin.
The medicine should be applied to the painful area 4-5 times a day and rubbed in gently. A 1 cm long strip of gel is applied to the surface of the skin measuring approximately 7 cm by 7 cm. After applying the gel to the skin, wash your hands thoroughly if they are not being handled.
If skin redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use until symptoms resolve. If symptoms persist, contact your doctor.
If you feel that the effect of Naproxen XASCO is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor.
Action
Naproxen has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Levomenthol causes a cooling sensation on the skin and has a local anesthetic effect, causes local vasodilation and facilitates the penetration of naproxen into diseased tissues.
Chloral hydrate, due to its mild irritant properties, causes beneficial reflex vasodilation.
Indications
The drug is used as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent for muscle and joint pain:
for osteoarthritis.
for soft tissue injuries,
for joint and tendon injuries.
Contraindications
When should you not use Naproxen HASCO Gel:
if you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to the active substance – naproxen or to any of the ingredients of the drug,
if you are hypersensitive to other non-al anti-inflammatory drugs (for example, acetylsalicylic acid)”
