“Intended Use:
• pain of various origins of mild and moderate intensity, including: headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, joint pain;
• diseases associated with colds and flu with fever;
• painful conditions that require long-term use of acetylsalicylic acid in high doses, for example, rheumatoid arthritis (only as prescribed by a doctor);
• Myocardial infarction and prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction.
How to use the medicine?
Always take this medication exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine should be taken orally, preferably during or after meals, with plenty of liquid. The tablet can also be dissolved in ½ glass of water or milk before use.
Symptomatic treatment without consulting a doctor can be carried out for no longer than 3 days.
The lowest possible effective dose should be used.
The following dosage is generally recommended:
Analgesic and antipyretic:
Adults: 300–600 mg (1–2 tablets) every 4 hours. You should not take more than 3 g of the drug per day.
Adolescents over 16 years of age: 600–900 mg (2–3 tablets) per day.
For rheumatic diseases only as prescribed by a doctor:
for rheumatic fever: 900 mg (3 tablets) 4 times a day;
for rheumatoid arthritis: 600 mg (2 tablets) 3-4 times a day.
Myocardial infarction, prevention of myocardial infarction:
from 150 mg to 300 mg (from ½ to 1 tablet) per day.
Use in children and adolescents under 16 years of age:
The drug is contraindicated in children and adolescents under 16 years of age (see section “When Polopyrin S should not be used”).
Taking a dose of Polopyrin C that exceeds the recommended one:
If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Contains:
The active ingredient of the drug is acetylsalicylic acid. Each tablet contains 300 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.
Other ingredients of the drug: corn starch, powdered cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose.”
