“The drug is used to prevent motion sickness, as well as to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting of other origins (except for those caused by cancer chemotherapy)
The onset of action occurs within 20-30 minutes. The clinical effect is observed within 4–6 hours after taking the drug.
Composition: Active substance: dimenhydramine 50 mg.
Dosage:
The drug is usually used as follows: Prophylactically: at least 30 minutes before a planned trip or taking a poorly tolerated drug: adults and children over 14 years of age: 1-2 tablets (50-100 mg), children 5-14 years old. from age: from 1/2 to 1 tablet (25–50 mg). If necessary, the dose can be repeated. Nausea and vomiting: Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1–2 tablets (50–100 mg) as needed every 4–6 hours, not to exceed 400 mg per day. Children 5–14 years: 1/2 to 1 tablet (25–50 mg) as needed every 6–8 hours, not to exceed 150 mg per day.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to dimenhydramine or other components of the drug, epilepsy, acute exudative and blistering skin diseases, first trimester of pregnancy, breastfeeding, age up to 2 years. The drug should not be used simultaneously with drugs that depress the central nervous system or alcohol.”
