“Dosage
2 tablets per day; in particularly stubborn cases, 3 tablets.
Pediatric population
Children aged between 3 and 12 years: 1-2 tablets per day (0.3 mg/kg) under the direct supervision of a physician.
The correct dose is the minimum sufficient to obtain easy passage of loose stools.
It is recommended to use first in the minimum doses prescribed. If necessary, the dose can be increased, but not exceed the maximum indicated.
All laxatives should be used as rarely as possible and for no more than seven days.
Use for major periods of time requires a doctor’s prescription after adequate evaluation in each individual case.
Mode of application
The tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, along with a sufficient amount of water (a glass in abundance). A diet rich in fluids promotes the effect of the drug.
The tablets should preferably be administered after dinner, so that the laxative effect, which occurs after 10-12 hours, does not interfere with sleep. If consumed on an empty stomach, the laxative effect occurs within about 5 hours.
