“Indications
The drug is indicated for short-term use in the treatment of cold and flu symptoms, such as:
fever and chills
headache,
musculoskeletal pain,
sore throat,
blockage of the nasal passages and sinuses with pain,
rhinitis (rhinitis).
Active ingredient: ascorbic acid, paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Compound
The active ingredients of the drug are: paracetamol, ascorbic acid, phenylephrine hydrochloride.
1 sachet contains 300 mg of paracetamol, 20 mg of ascorbic acid and 5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Other ingredients of the drug: mannitol (E421), citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, calcium gluconate, orange flavor*, strawberry flavor**, colloidal anhydrous silica.
Orange Flavor* (orange oil, lemon oil, C-12 alcohol, linalool, benzyl alcohol, citronellal, dextrose, gum arabic, anhydrous corn glucose syrup, butylated hydroxyanisole).
Strawberry Flavor** (cis-3-hexenol, furanol, ethyl 2-methylbutyrate, hexanoic acid, methyl cinnamate, maltol, gum arabic, anhydrous corn glucose syrup, silica).
APAP cold dosage for children
Use in children aged 6 to 12 years.
If necessary, 1 sachet no more often than every 4–6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 sachets per day.
The maximum daily dose of paracetamol used in children: 60 mg/kg body weight per day, administered in several doses up to 4 times a day, 15 mg/kg body weight.
Adults and children over 12 years old
If necessary, 1 or 2 sachets no more often than every 4–6 hours, up to a maximum of 6 sachets per day.
Mode of application
Pour the contents of the sachet into hot water (100 ml) and mix thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved.
The liquid should be consumed within 15 minutes after preparation.
Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
Dosage of APAP Cold Junior in special patient groups
Kidney failure
In patients with renal impairment, it is recommended to reduce the dose of paracetamol and increase the interval between subsequent doses as follows:
Adults, Glomerular filtration rate (GFR)
Single dose of paracetamol 10-50 ml/min, 500 mg every 6 hours.
The drug should not be used in severe renal failure.
Liver failure.
In patients with liver failure or Gilbert’s syndrome, the dose of paracetamol should be reduced or the interval between doses should be increased. The maximum daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 2 g per day.
Aged people
Experience to date suggests that the dosage of paracetamol recommended for adults is appropriate for this group of patients.
However, in older adults, a reduction in dose or frequency of administration may be appropriate.
Unless the drug is used under medical supervision, dosages exceeding 2 g per day should not be used in patients:
with body weight less than 50 kg.
for liver failure
with alcoholism
dehydrated
malnourished.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.”
