“Composition
5 ml of syrup contains 52 mg of sulfoguaiacol. Excipients: sodium benzoate, pine herbal honey, purified water.
Dosage
Children over 6 years of age: 3 or 4 times a day 5 ml (1 teaspoon)
Older children and adolescents: 3 or 4 times a day 10 ml (2 teaspoons)
Adults: 3 or 4 times a day 10 ml (1 tablespoon)
Action
Apitussic is a syrup intended for children from 6 years of age and adults. It reduces the viscosity of mucus and facilitates its movement in the bronchi by stimulating the activity of the cilia of the epithelium. Pine herbal honey enhances the expectorant effect of the syrup.
Indications
Inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, cough.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the medicinal product.
Avoid use in people with active peptic ulcer disease – the medicinal product may worsen the symptoms.
Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

Side effects:
No significant adverse effects were observed.
Isolated cases of laxative effects have occurred.
There is a possibility of hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.
Warnings and precautions:
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltose insufficiency should not take this medicinal product.
Patients who observe disturbing symptoms after use (e.g. laxative effects) should discontinue the medicinal product and contact a doctor.
The syrup contains pine herbal honey. It should not be used by people allergic to bee products.
