“Sinupret is used as an adjuvant for acute and chronic sinusitis.
Sinupret drops are a traditionally used herbal preparation in the form of drops for oral administration, which have a secretolytic effect.
Sinupret drops can be used for sinus problems in both adults and children over 6 years of age.
Indications
Supports acute and chronic sinusitis.
Active ingredient: Gentianae radix, Primulae flos, Rumicis herba, Sambuci flos, Verbenae officinalis herba.
Compound
100 g of drops contain:
29 g extract (drug to extract ratio 1:11) consisting of: Gentianae radix (gentian root), Primulae flos cum calycibus (primrose flower with calyx), Rumicis herba (sorrel herb), Sambuci flos (elderflower), Verbenae herba. (verbena herb) in a ratio of 1:3:3:3:3, extracted with ethanol (59% v/v).
Distilled water.
Dosage
The usual dose of Sinupret is:
Adults: orally, usually 50 drops three times a day, which corresponds to 3.1 ml per single dose.
School-age children (from 6 years): orally, usually 25 drops 3 times a day, which corresponds to 1.55 ml per single dose.
In special cases, the dose may be doubled.
Sinupret oral drops can be used dissolved in a small amount of liquid or without dissolution.
During use, it is recommended to drink increased amounts of fluid.
To facilitate dosing, the bottle should be kept in an upright position.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medications, including those sold without a prescription. It is not recommended to use other expectorants at the same time.
Contraindications
When should you not use Sinupret?
if you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to gentian root, primrose flower or calyx, sorrel herb, elderflower, verbena herb or any other ingredient of Sinupret,
if you suffer from stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers or stomach acidity.
Notes on use
The medicine contains 19% vol. ethanol (alcohol). This may be harmful for people addicted to alcohol. This should be considered in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and in high-risk groups such as people with liver disease, epilepsy, injury or brain disease. Due to the alcohol content, the drug should not be used in children under 6 years of age.”
