La tiocodina es un fármaco antitusivo que suprime el reflejo de la tos. Las tabletas de tiocodina contienen dos sustancias activas: hemihidrato de fosfato de codeína y sulfowaacol. El hemihidrato de fosfato de codeína tiene un efecto antitusivo, inhibe el reflejo de la tos y reduce la frecuencia de los ataques de tos. El sulfogwaacol actúa como expectorante , facilita el movimiento de la secreción licuada en el tracto respiratorio y su expectoración. Las tabletas de tiocodina son para uso oral únicamente._x000D_
