“Apap Junior is a medicine in the form of strawberry-vanilla granules administered on the tongue, intended for children. The medicine contains paracetamol, which has analgesic and antipyretic properties. Apap Junior is used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever in children over 4 years of age.
Indications
Apap Junior is given to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain.
Composition
Composition of Apap Junior 250 mg
1 sachet contains:
active substance: paracetamol 250 mg,
excipients: sorbitol (E420), talc, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer, light magnesium oxide, carmellose sodium, sucralose (E955), magnesium stearate, hypromellose, stearic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide (E171), simethicone, strawberry flavor (contains maltodextrin, acacia gum, natural and natural flavors, propylene glycol, triacetin, 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4H-pyran-4-one), vanilla flavor (contains maltodextrin, natural and natural flavors, propylene glycol, sucrose).

Dosage
How to use Apap Junior?
The dose of Apap Junior depends on age and body weight, usually a single dose is 10-15 mg of paracetamol per kilogram of body weight, up to a total daily dose of 60-75 mg/kg body weight.
Apap Junior should always be taken exactly according to the instructions given in the leaflet.
Children aged 4-8 years (17-25 kg): 1 sachet, maximum 4 sachets per day;
Children aged 8-12 years (26-40 kg): 2 sachets, maximum 6 sachets per day.
The granules should be taken directly into the mouth on the tongue and then swallowed without water.
An interval of at least 6 hours should be observed between subsequent doses.
Do not take Apap Junior after a meal.
If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
When not to take Apap Junior:
if you are allergic to any of its ingredients,
if you have severe liver failure.
Taking other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Apap Junior may interact with:
tribunal,
drugs potentially damaging the liver, such as phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine, primidone, rifampicin,
metoclopramide and domperidone – may increase absorption and onset of action,
medicines that slow down stomach emptying,
cholestyramine,
drugs that reduce blood clotting (oral anticoagulants, especially warfarin),
zidovudine.
