Compound
The syrup contains:
active ingredients: liquid extract of thyme herb, liquid extract of ivy leaves.
excipients: citric acid monohydrate, purified water, hydroxypropyl betadex, potassium sorbate, liquid maltitol (15.6 g maltitol/100 g Bronchipret TE syrup).
Dosage
Take Bronchipret TE exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dose: Unless otherwise advised by your doctor, take Bronchipret TE syrup 3 times daily:
Children from 2 to 5 years old 3.2 ml, i.e. 9.6 ml per day.
Children aged 6 to 11 years 4.3 ml, i.e. 12.9 million per day.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age 5.4 ml i.e. 16.2 ml per day.
Method of administration: Oral. Use the supplied measuring cup and take Bronchipret TE syrup 3 times a day, depending on the age of the patient, according to the instructions given in the table above. The syrup should be swallowed without diluting. The medicine can be taken with a small amount of liquid (preferably water). Stir before use!
If symptoms persist for more than 10 days or you have difficulty breathing, fever, or purulent or bloody discharge, contact your doctor immediately.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The medicine should not be given to children under 2 years of age.
If you have a persistent or recurring cough in children 2 to 4 years of age, you should consult a doctor, as such symptoms may be a sign of a serious illness.
Contraindications
In case of hypersensitivity to the active substances and other plants of the Lamiaceae and Araliaceae families, birch, wormwood, celery or to any of the excipients.
Notes on use
Bronchipret TE syrup contains 7% vol. alcohol,
this means that 5.4 ml contains up to 0.30 g of alcohol, which is equivalent to 8 ml of beer or 3 ml of wine. This may be harmful for people addicted to alcohol. You should also take into account the presence of alcohol and consult your doctor if you want to use the drug in children in higher doses than recommended and in high-risk groups, such as people with liver disease or epilepsy.
Bronchipret TE syrup contains maltitol.
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to certain sugars, consult your doctor before using Bronchipret TE syrup. Information for diabetics: One serving of Bronchipret TE syrup (5.4 ml) contains about 1.9 g of easily digestible carbohydrates.
