Used in:
chronic constipation
encephalopathy in liver failure in adults (precoma and hepatic coma).
Compound
15 ml of syrup contains 7.5 g of liquid lactulose (Lactulosum Liquidum).
1 ml of syrup contains 500 mg of liquid lactulose.
Excipients: strawberry flavor, citric acid, purified water.
Dosage
Daily doses should be adjusted individually.

As a rule, doses can be reduced after a few days, adapting them to the needs of the patient.
It is best to take the recommended dose of the drug once during breakfast.
The first clinical effects may appear only after a few days.
This is due to the mechanism of action of lactulose. Higher doses or increased frequency of administration may be considered if a positive response is not achieved after the first two days.
Hepatic coma and precoma – only in adults.
Initial dose: 30–45 ml 3–4 times a day.
Maintenance dose: it should be adjusted so that the patient has loose stools 2-3 times a day. Stool pH should be between 5.0 and 5.5.
Safety and effectiveness in children (under 18 years of age) with hepatic coma have not been established. Data not available.
Taking more lactulosum amara than recommended
If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
In case of overdose, diarrhea, abdominal pain, significant fluid loss, decreased potassium levels and increased sodium levels in the blood are observed. In case of overdose, the drug should be discontinued. Increased fluid loss due to diarrhea or vomiting may require correction of electrolyte imbalances.
If you forget to take Lactulos Amara
If you take the medicine regularly and it has not been long since you missed a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, take it at the appropriate time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Contraindications
if the patient has hypersensitivity to lactulose or any of the excipients of the drug,
in case of gastrointestinal obstruction or risk of gastrointestinal perforation,
if you have high levels of galactose in your blood (galactosemia),
