Delicol is a food for special medical purposes in the form of drops and is intended for nutritional management in transitory states of digestive problems caused by dietary lactose intolerance in infants. Delicol is a high activity lactase enzyme of natural origin from an extract of the fungus Aspergillus oryzae . Aspergillus oryzae is a stable and biologically active source of lactase that is stable at gastric acid pH. Delicol drops can be used both during breastfeeding and when feeding modified milk.
Method of use
Delicol drops should be used at each feeding according to the scheme indicated.
Breastfeeding – Measure the correct amount of drops per teaspoon. Give the baby just before breastfeeding.
In exceptional cases, when the child is very uncomfortable, you can gradually increase the number of drops, up to a maximum of 17 drops per meal.
Formula feeding – prepare the milk according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Add a drop of Delicol milk at serving temperature (around 37 o C). Feed your baby.
Contraindications and precautions
IMPORTANT! Delicol contains the enzyme lactase, which is destroyed at high temperatures. Add Delicol to food at room temperature. Delicol can be used within 3-4 months of a child’s life. After this time, the preparation should be gradually stopped.
- The product is an incomplete food. It cannot be used as a sole source of nutrition. The preparation should not be used parenterally. If your child develops bothersome symptoms, see a doctor immediately.
- Store in a dry place in the original packaging at a temperature of up to 25 ° C
- Do not expose to sunlight and heat.
- After opening the package, the product should be used within 3 weeks.
