GASTROTUSS baby – anti-reflux syrup for children is a medical device in the form of a syrup used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and laryngopharyngeal reflux. The preparation accelerates the process of gastric emptying and creates a mechanical anti-reflux barrier that eliminates symptoms.
Composition
Magnesium alginate, simethicone, fructose, xanthan gum, D-panthenol , sodium bicarbonate, sodium hydroxide, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, natural flavors, purified water.
Indications and action:
- Gastrotuss ® baby is a medical device in the form of a syrup intended for use in infants and children in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and laryngopharyngeal reflux. The preparation creates a mechanical anti-reflux barrier, eliminating symptoms such as regurgitation, heartburn (esophagus burning), a feeling of obstruction in the throat, inflammation of the nasal and laryngeal pharynx, belching, flatulence, cough, dysphonia ( hoarseness from reflux irritation of the glottis). At the same time, the syrup alleviates other reflux disorders.
- The syrup contains magnesium alginate, which has a gelling effect in contact with the digestive content, thus acting anti-reflux. At the same time, simethicone is a surfactant that breaks down gas bubbles accumulated in the small intestine, thus eliminating gas and intestinal colic.
- The use of Gastrotuss ® baby syrup supports the natural regeneration processes of the gastroesophageal and laryngopharyngeal mucosa, while accelerating the process of gastric emptying. The preparation is suitable for use in infants from birth and children up to 12 years of age. The package includes a measuring cup that allows for precise dosing of the syrup depending on the age of the child.
- The consistency of the preparation may be more or less sticky and / or show slight changes in color, which does not affect its quality. The product does not contain gluten and lactose.
Dosage
Infants up to 5 kg body weight: 2.5-3 ml, 5-10 minutes after feeding, unless otherwise instructed by a doctor.
In the case of regurgitation of gastric contents after using the preparation, it is recommended to administer an additional 1 ml of the syrup.
Infants and children up to 3 years of age: 5 ml after main meals and at bedtime, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
Children up to 12 years: unless your doctor tells you otherwise, 10-20 ml after main meals and at bedtime.
Shake vigorously before use.
Close the bottle carefully after use.
If the patient is taking other preparations, Gastrotuss ® baby should be used last.
It is recommended to use the syrup at least 1 hour before or after other medications.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation.
