Homeoplasmine ointment from the Boiron laboratory is a homeopathic medicine indicated in the adjunctive treatment of skin irritations. This ointment contains plant extracts and an antiseptic, used as a skin protector.Homeoplasmine is contraindicated in case of allergy to the constituents of the ointment, in children under 30 months and in case of oozing and superinfected lesions. Due to the presence of boric acid, this medicine should not be used for a long time or repeatedly, on damaged skin (especially burns), on a large surface, in an occlusive (closed) dressing, especially in children.
Boric acid has been the cause of serious poisoning in children. Certain signs should alert you: cutaneous signs such as intense and diffuse erythroderma then desquamation with initial erythema predominant, especially in the buttocks and mouth.
Homeoplasmine is not recommended during pregnancy or in women of childbearing age who are not using contraception. It should also not be used during breastfeeding.
