“Indications
Febrile conditions of various origins, including influenza, colds or other infectious diseases, as well as post-vaccination reactions.
Pain of various origins, from mild to moderate, for example:
headaches, sore throat and muscle pain (for example, due to viral infections),
toothache, pain after dental procedures, pain during teething,
pain in joints and bones resulting from injuries to the musculoskeletal system (for example, sprains),
pain due to soft tissue injuries,
postoperative pain,
ear pain resulting from inflammation of the middle ear.
Compound
1 suppository contains: 60 mg ibuprofen
Other ingredients: Witepsol H 15, Witepsol W 45.
Dosage
IBUM for children should be used in children older than 3 months and weighing at least 6 kg.
The maximum daily dose of ibuprofen is 20–30 mg/kg body weight, administered in 3–4 single doses according to the following scheme:
Children weighing 6 to 8 kg (age 3 to approximately 9 months): The initial dose is 1 suppository. (60 mg). If necessary, 1 suppository every 6 to 8 hours. Do not use more than 3 suppositories (180 mg) per day.
Children weighing 8 kg to 12.5 kg (age approximately 9 months to 2 years): Initial dose: 1 suppository (60 mg). If necessary – 1 suppository every 6 hours. Do not use more than 4 suppositories (240 mg) per day.
The medicine should be administered at least six hours apart.
Do not use a higher dose than recommended.
Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
The medicine is intended for emergency use, so if symptoms persist or worsen, or new symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor.
Patients with kidney or liver problems: Check with your doctor before taking this medication.
Contraindications
When IBUM should not be used for children, suppositories:
if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
in patients with active or previous gastric and/or duodenal ulcers, perforation (perforation) or bleeding, also occurring after the use of NSAIDs,
in patients who have experienced any allergy symptoms such as runny nose, urticaria, shortness of breath or bronchial asthma during treatment with acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
if you are taking other NSAIDs (including COX-2 inhibitors such as celecoxib or etoricoxib)
if you have severe liver, kidney or heart failure,
if you have a bleed in the brain (cerebrovascular hemorrhage) or other bleeding,
if you suffer from bleeding disorders, hemorrhagic diathesis (propensity to bleed) or hematopoietic disorders of unknown origin,
in dehydrated patients (dehydration caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake).
If this medication is taken by adults, it should not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy.”
