“Composition
5 ml: Ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg, excipients: sorbitol 70%, glycerol 85%, benzoic acid, acesulfame K, strawberry flavor, vanilla flavor and others.
Dosage
Age and daily dose: Children 1-2 years 2 x 2.5 ml; Children 2-6 years 3 x 2.5 ml; Children 6-12 years 2-3 x 5 ml; Adults and children over 12 years 2 x 10 ml; 5 ml = 1 teaspoon. The dosage can be reduced by half after 14 days of treatment. The syrup should be taken with meals.
Action
It increases the secretion of mucus in the respiratory tract, which stimulates the production of pulmonary surfactant and improves the function of cilia in the respiratory epithelium. As a result, the amount of mucus increases and its transport improves, which in turn facilitates expectoration and relieves cough.
Indications
Acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and bronchi with impaired mucus secretion and difficulty in its transport.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance – ambroxol or to any of the excipients. Hereditary, rare states of intolerance to excipients. The preparation contains sorbitol.
