Action
ORSALIT® is a food for special medical purposes, intended for dietary management in cases of dehydration, especially during diarrhea or vomiting and in situations where there is a risk of dehydration. ORSALIT® supplements fluids and minerals in case of water and electrolyte disturbances.
Dosage
The dosage depends on the degree of dehydration and the doctor’s recommendations. It is usually recommended to administer 50-100 ml of oral rehydration fluid per kg of body weight in the first 4 hours and an additional 5-10 ml per kg of body weight after each diarrheal stool or vomiting. At the next stage of hydration, it is recommended to administer 5-10 ml of rehydration fluid after each diarrheal stool or vomiting. ORSALIT® should not be used in people who suffer from intestinal obstruction or hemodynamic shock.
